Back to Greenville!

This morning at 5:45 we headed to the airport with Rich, Joy and Brooklynn. Brooklynn was wide awake and very talkative. She continues to amaze us at what she comes up with. What a blessing our week with her was. She is such fun little girl. Posted by Picasa

At work with Papa!

Gary had to take a break from his work day at home when Brooklynn tapped on his door. She crawled under his desk and just laughed. It was a "blog moment". Posted by Picasa

A Lazy Day!

Today is Brooklynn's last day at Mimi and Papa's house. Rich and Joy headed to Chicago for the day. We decided to stay in our pj's until 1. We just played in the basement toy room all morning. It was alot of fun. One of the things that Brooklynn enjoys most are the "cows, piggies, neigh-neighs". You can see she stays very busy when she plays. I hate to see her head home to South Carolina in the morning, but we have thanked Jesus many times for the time we have shared. Posted by Picasa

Shopping and Lunch!

Yesterday Brooklynn and I went out shopping and to lunch. We had such FUN! First stop was Panera for a bagel and then on to Von Maur. We spent most of the morning there looking at all the wonderful things and playing with the train that is set up in the childrens department. We took a break to listen to the piano player in the center of the store. We did find a real treasure to buy for Brooklynn. Next stop was McDonald's for lunch and play time. Brooklynn loved the playground and was not afreaid of anything. Had to have a little boy help her on one of the climbers. What a fun time we had. Posted by Picasa

THE CAR!

Each of our grandaughters seems to love this little car, I found at a garage sale. They have a ball with it. Brooklynn enjoyed me pushing her down the sidewalk in it as she honked the horn. Posted by Picasa

Fall Fun!

Brooklynn and I got to play outside a bit today. It has been COLD and damp all week until today. She enjoyed the pumpkins and raking leaves. Posted by Picasa

Getting to know Uncle Mikie!

Brooklynn has really enjoyed getting to know her "Uncle Mikie", as she calls him. They have really had fun together. Here they are coloring, one of the things Brooklynn enjoys very much. Posted by Picasa

Fun, Fun, Fun!

Today we got to take Brooklynn to the Children's Museum here in Normal. It was so much fun. She enjoyed one thing especially, PAINTING ON THE WALLS with real paint! She didn't want to leave. Look for a picture of her in her new T-shirt we bought there. Posted by Picasa

A visit to the GINGERBREAD HOUSE

Today was a rainy and yucky day. We did venture out to the local toy store, "The Gingerbread House". It was FUN! As we were leaving Brooklynn spotted a wonderful tricycle. It was a "Radio Flyer" and only $71.99. We left it at the shop...

MAKING COOKIES!

This morning before Mimi even got dressed, Brooklynn and I decided to make cookies. It was a BLAST! We enjoyed eating them too.

Off to the pumpkin patch!

Today even though it was COLD and windy we just had to take Brooklynn to the "pumplin patch". It really is a fall thing, especially here in the midwest. She enjoyed it and especially enjoyed the pony ride.

FARMING with Papa!

Brooklynn loved all the toys at Mimi's house. She didn't know what to do first. Here she is playing farm with Papa.

1st STOP Doooo nuts!

Brooklyn loves dooonuts on Saturday morning so our first stop was Dunkin Donuts. Uncle Micah met us there and Brooklynn had fun dunking hers.

BROOKLYNN'S HERE!

We were EXCITED to have Brooklyn, Rich, and Joy come for a visit today. We were waiting for their plane as they arrived in Bloomington. Brooklynn got a nap on the flight and was in good spirits when they landed. We are going to have a FUN week together.

OLD FRIENDS!

We had the chance to stop in Madison, Wisconsin yesterday and visit very special friends from 35 years ago. It was sweet to catch up. Our dogs even enjoyed the visit.
