Our 1/2 Day of Vacation

Today was a fun day. Gary had to deliver a seed counter to a Chicago suburb. I rode along with "the girls". We drove the backroads going up and wandered upon a interesting little town, Morris. Spent time there enjoying the little shops and a coffee shop. Stumbled across the I&M canel. Quite interesting. Delivered the seed counter in Batavia and then did some shopping and dinner at one of our favorite Chinese places, Gong Ho in the Downers Grove area. Tomorrow after Gary works a half day at home we may head to the Amish area of Arthur, Illinois. I'll keep you posted.

Why the name "Three Grandaughters"?

Wondering why the name of our blog is "three grandaughters"? We treasure any time we have to share with Anna Kate, Brooklynn and Lauren. Wanted to show off a few pictures of our 3 GRANDaughters.....Enjoy!
ps: Somewhere down the road we may have to change our blog name.......(smile)

A "Step back in Time".

When our children were young we really did not celebrate Halloween. They still complain that they never got to go "trick or treating". Well, now that we have an "empty nest", we are dressing up and going to Halloween Parties..... Sorry guys.
Last night friends from our church had a "50's Party". Everyone had a ball and the costumes were really funny. Thought you would enjoy seeing "Life in the 50's". Happy halloween!

Sunday afternoon walk with the dogs!

Today was a beautiful day here in Illinois. After church we ask "the girls" if they wanted to go for a WALK. They both got very excited and out the door we headed.... (We are not sure who was walking who.) Lizzie has gotten mature enough to allow her walk herself. They love being out and exploring. On our last walk Lizzie ATE 3 grasshoppers!
