Thanksgiving FUN!

We had not planned on being together with any of our family from South Carolina this Thanksgiving. Becky found some amazing rates at a Holiday Inn and things worked out for us to be with most of the family and also visit our family members in Indiana. We missed having Rich, Joy and Brooklynn, but look forward to seeing them real soon. One of our grown kids ask how we would rate the trip on a scale of 1-10. I had to say a 9!!!! God seemed to bless us in so many ways. We have so very much to praise our Lord for. Didn't get a picture of our whole group. I was having fun with two little grandbabies! Anna Kate helped set up the nativity scene at her great-grandparents house. After it was all set up she said, "These are all my friends". Can't wait to be together as a family for Christmas!

Happy Birthday to my Friend Becky!

Today I took my special friend Becky out for her birthday. It was her dog Holly that had the birthday party on Saturday. But today was just for Becky. We went to a new Tea Room in a small town not too far from Bloomington. We both enjoyed our salads and even shared a dessert. It was a sweet time together on a beautiful sunny fall day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BECKY!

Fall Fellowship

Tonight after church we had our Berean "Care Group" for a time of holiday fellowship. Everyone really enjoyed the time together. We shared blessings and praises from the year, had prayer together and then got into the Christmas spirit with a "White Elephant" gift exchange. It was so much fun seeing what gifts were brought and also stealing gifts from one another. We all wished one another a wonderful holiday and we are already looking forward to our next get-together.

GONE TO THE DOGS!

We were invited to "Holly's" birthday party tonight. Holly is Edgar and Becky's beagle. She turned one today. Our "girls" were invited and it was an EXCITING evening. You could say, we have gone to the dogs. It was a fun party and Lizzie really enjoyed the festivities. Cinnamon was "out of sorts" tonight and didn't really join in the fun. Both the "girls" received a "doggy bag" when they left. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Holly.

Cutter Visit!

Traveled from Indianapolis to southern Indiana to visit some of Gary's family. We were able to stop at his brother Ivan's home and meet their new grandbaby. Then on to Gary's parents to have lunch out and visit for a short time. Beautiful fall day to travel.

30 YEARS! A SPECIAL NIGHT FOR GARY

What a special night for Gary! He was recognized for his 30 years with Dow AgroSciences. It was a very elaborate evening at the Indianapolis Art Museum. Wanted to share our night with you. I am very proud of his hard work and accomplishment. The Art Museum was beautiful and the food was elegant. The program was funny and entertaining too. You'll see Gary on the screen. The first picture is when he first started working for the company and the second on the screen is a recent picture. What a special night!

A Trip to Indiana!

As we will always remember, Pap was taken home to heaven on Nov. 8, soon to be two years. Today we had to make a trip to that area to handle some family business and had the opportunity to stop at the graveyard. It was another PERFECT day and one that he would have LOVED! Amazing how the Lord even gave him a perfect place for his burial, his beautiful southern Indiana hills. Also notice the sign posted very near his gravesite. I know he smiled and laughed about that. God took him while he was doing what he enjoyed most, hunting. Also had lunch with mother and her friend Mabel. Thanking the Lord for so much tonight. He is Faithful.

Another 1/2 Day of Vacation!

Gary worked till noon today and then we headed to Arthur, Illinois. It is a well known Amish area and one of my favorite places to visit, especially in the fall. It was a beautiful day here and the fall colors are still gorgeous. We stopped at several Amish stores and enjoyed seeing all the horse and buggies on the roads. The Amish are not to allow their pictures to be taken. Today I ask two young children if I could take a picture of their pony and they said, "yes as soon as we are out of the way". On our way back to Bloomington we drove through Bement and Monticello, where we had lived 30 years ago. It was a really fun day.
