EASTER!

Sure wish we were in South Carolina seeing our three BEAUTIFUL GRANDaughters in their Easter bonnets. How we miss family on these VERY special holidays. Today was a wonderful service at our church and then home to share an Easter Dinner with Micah and a special friend, Heather. It was a pretty spring day and we are PRAISING the Lord for His love on Calvary to each of us.

Pastor Ken's Homegoing Celebration!

Saturday was a PERFECT spring day and not a cloud in the sky. A perfect day planned by the Lord for Ken's funeral. So fitting that he would be buried on Easter week-end. It was always his favorite time of the year with his directing our Easter Pageant. What a memorable service the family shared with many. Ken had planned the service and it was very special. As hard as it is to let go of our Pastor and friend, we know he now is directing a heavenly choir. Words can't describe the impact he has made on so many. Only heaven will tell the story. This is his family under the oak tree right next to Ken's gravesite. He really was an "Oak of Righteousness".

LOOK Anna Kate, Papa's planting his garden!

Today was a beautiful spring day in Illinois. Gary was able to plant several varieties of lettuce and also some spinach. He is real anxious to get in the dirt, I should say soil, as he so often corrects me. He loves gardening! Anna Kate our oldest grandaughter talks about Papa in the garden and picking "maders"(grape tomatoes).

Gram is "BACK HOME IN INDIANA"!

After three months in Florida, Gram has moved back to her beloved Indiana. She is in a BEAUTIFUL facility Thorton Terrace. She hopes to be moved to an assisted living apartment there soon. Here are some pictures we took while we visited. I told her she needed to give Gary the "Son-in-law of the year award". He has worked so hard in all of this.

Gram's Auction

Saturday, April 1st, was a HUGE day for all of us. We had worked for 6 weeks getting ready for Gram's antique and household auction. Not only was it a LOT of work, it was also very emotional. It is the end of a chapter in all of our lives. We could not have asked for a better day in every way. The auction was a big success and we had to thank God after it was all over. He worked in many ways. Thought you would enjoy seeing some pictures of the day.
